Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have something made on the spot by a florist?

Yes, we can make something for you. While you wait for our talented to team to finish your arrangement, you can shop our beautiful gift store or come back at a later time to pick it up. We also strive to always have pre-made arrangements ready in store for you to choose from.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes, all the time. The designs on our website are there for your convenience. We happily take custom orders over the phone at 507.387-7908 or in our store.  On-line orders are also an option at Hilltopflorist.com.

Can I order anonymously?

Over the years, we received a great deal of feedback from our customers about anonymous ordering. The feedback we received was in most cases, the recipient of the anonymous gift felt uncomfortable and often times anxious about who sent the order. The majority of these anonymous arrangements we received feedback about were sent to women. Based on this, we could not continue this practice any longer.

While some used this feature for genuinely good intentions, the bad intended ones outweighed the good and we made a decision to protect the safety of all of our customers by requiring a name to be provided with the order.

This does not mean we will release your personal information such as email, address, or phone number upon request, but we will release the sender’s name in the event your receiver calls to ask.

Do you have pre-made arrangements ready in store?

Yes, we strive to always have a selection of pre-made vase arrangement and bouquets available for a speedy shopping experience.

What else can I find in your shop?

We have curated a large selection of gift items much of which is locally made or US based. These items include: candles, candy, chocolate, bath and body products, a large selection of modern plants/planters, cards, stationary, plush stuffed animals, home décor, and much more.

How close are the arrangements pictured to what will actually be received?

You may have noticed we have a disclaimer below each arrangement description, this is really just to let you know that some shades/blooms may be a little different. We take pride in our arrangements being as close to the picture as possible.  However, with the COVID-19 Pandemic we have found instability in our suppliers’ ability to provide flowers and supplies like they had prior to epidemic.

I am worried that my flowers were not delivered. What do I do?

We get this question from time to time and 99 times out of a 100 the recipient has simply forgotten to thank you, or has not done it yet. Give us a call and we can confirm with our delivery log. We can also call the recipient and ask them if they have received the arrangement.

Why do we need to call first before delivering?

During times of hot or cold weather, it is bad for the life of flowers to have them repeatedly going in and out of the shop or to be left on a door step. We have also, on frequent occasion, discovered the recipient is out of town or not home. For all these reasons, we call first to assure your arrangement arrives to the person intended.

What time will my flowers be delivered?

As stated in our delivery policy, the recipient will be called to arrange time for delivery. The flowers will be delivered within our delivery hours.

I want special flowers for an upcoming event – can you help me?

Yes, give us a call us. We will work with our suppliers to meet your needs.  However, from time to time we may find that a specific flower may not be in season.
