Anything on our website can be delivered in the Greater Mankato area. Same day delivery for out of town order is subject to availability. The fees are listed below.

If you place an order with the wrong shipping option selected it will not be processed and/or you will be contacted to make a correction.

Delivery Policies

It is the customers responsibility to ensure they are providing us with correct information.

If a delivery is to be made to a residential address, it is our policy to call the recipient first. Your order will not be delivered until we have reached the recipient by phone. We are not responsible for incidences where our messages are not returned. If your delivery is running more than a day behind for the above reasons, we will contact you and ask you to provide another number that the recipient may be reached at.

Only one delivery address allowed per order.

Why Do You Need to Call First?

During times of hot or cold weather it is bad for the life of flowers to have them repeatedly going in and out of the shop or to be left on a door step. We have also, on frequent occasion, discovered the recipient is out of town or not home. For all these reasons, we call first.

If a delivery is being made to a business and the recipient is not there due to illness or vacation, we accept no responsibility. It is the customers duty to ensure that delivery can be made.

We cannot guarantee specific delivery times. Recipients are typically asked for a two-hour window that they will be home. If you are requesting a delivery to a business, you are welcome to request a specific two-hour window in the order comments section.

In the rare case that the recipient opts to pick up the flowers rather than have them delivered; the value of delivery will be added to your arrangement in flowers.

Substitution Policy

Due to various seasonal and regional circumstances, availability of some flowers may be very limited. Also, specific flower varieties or colors may not be available for delivery on a specified day. Therefore, it is possible that the exact bouquet pictured or requested may not be available for delivery.

In this event, the florist will deliver an arrangement of similar flowers and container of equal value and beauty. Every effort will be made to maintain size, shape, and overall color schemes of an arrangement, but there may be some variance due to designer interpretation. In single variety arrangements, variety will take preference over color. Our goal is your complete satisfaction, rest assured that every effort will be made to provide an arrangement of equal or greater value.

Sunday Delivery

We are unable to make deliveries on Sundays, except for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Deliveries requested on this day will be delivered the following business day.

Availability and Order Policies

We reserve the right to cancel orders due to availability or typographical errors. Prices are subject to change without notice due to flower market fluctuations. We also reserve the right to refuse service. We have a zero-tolerance policy on rude or abusive behavior. In the event that an order cannot be reasonably fulfilled, a full refund will be issued.

Plant Care

The customer/recipient is responsible for the care of plants after purchase. Hilltop Florist is not responsible for death of plants that are no longer under our care.

Floral Care

We pride ourselves in the freshness, quality and value of every order.  If you feel disappointed with any of our product or service, we advise you to call our team so we can discuss a suitable solution for all parties.

If you feel your flowers should be replaced, we ask customers to send a photo or bring the flowers back to us within 48 hours of delivery or pickup to assess the situation.  Sometimes flowers may come in and look perfect to us florists, but not show signs of disease until days later when they are at your place.  If we can see the flower issue first hand and as early as possible we can contact our flower suppliers to inquire about poor quality product.

How can you ensure a better life-cycle for your flowers?

A number of factors can result in the longevity of flowers being reduced.  Air conditioning, extreme cold or heat or changes in the climate may have adverse effects on flowers.  While it can be hard to avoid these elements, we advise not placing them directly near the cause.  Flowers should always avoid extreme heat or cold.  On cold Minnesota days, flowers should be wrapped and secured in above freezing environments in an expedited manner, failure to do so will result in shock and dramatically impact the life of the flowers and greens.

Card Messages

If your card message contains hateful language or appears to bully the recipient then your order will be cancelled. We do not fulfill orders sent for reasons of harassment or bullying. We have a zero-tolerance policy on bullying and harassment.

Refusal of Delivery

In the rare case that the recipient refuses delivery, no refund will be issued. The arrangement will have been made and our driver sent out, so we simply cannot give you your money back.

Legal

Hilltop Florist is not responsible for any damages that occur from the handling of their products. Hilltop Florist is not responsible for any damage to furniture or fixtures due to faulty containers or vases. Hilltop Florist assumes no responsibility for stains from flower petals or other materials. Hilltop Florist is not responsible for any injuries that occur as a result of handling plant material, care should be taken by the customer due to sharp leaves and thorns. The customer/recipient assumes all risk in these instances.
